The International Food Protection Training Institute (IFPTI) is accepting applications for its Applied Science, Law, and Policy: Fellowship in Food Protection program through April 1, 2015.
Applicants for this year-long program must be professionals in federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial regulatory food protection agencies in the United States.
The IFPTI Fellowship Program provides participants with a collaborative experience with food protection leaders.
The program includes a series of courses conducted during three week-long sessions and a research project with professional guidance and support from subject matter experts in research and food protection.
Fellowship program courses are divided into the following sessions:
Week I - Food Law and Compliance
Week II - Policies and Strategies and The Impact of Science.
Week III - Food System Control Applications and Prevention, Intervention, and Response
Program Dates:
• Week 1: September 20-25, 2015
• Week 2: December 6-11, 2015
• Week 3: March 20-25, 2016
• AFDO Conference June 2016
Fellowship program courses are held Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. and 8 a.m.- Noon on Friday.
Weeks 1 & 3 will be held in Battle Creek, Michigan. Week 2 will be held in Rockville, Maryland.
