FDA Announces Rescheduled Food Defense Plan Builder (FDPB) Webinar and Q&A Session on June 7 and Recording of Initial Webinar

The FDA previously announced the release of the new Food Defense Plan Builder (FDPB) tool, a user-friendly software program designed to assist owners and operators of food facilities with developing personalized food defense plans for their facilities. The tool is designed for use throughout the food industry and will aid companies in protecting their food products from intentional contamination. Instances of intentional contamination of food are infrequent, but can lead to serious adverse public health consequences. To see a copy of the FDA News Release on the new tool, visit:

On Friday, June 7th at 11:30 EST, the FDA invites you to participate in the rescheduled portion of the stakeholder question and answer webinar related to the recent release of FDA's Food Defense Plan Builder software program. This half-hour follow-up Q&A session is planned for stakeholders and can be accessed at: http://collaboration.fda.gov/fdafooddefense

The Q&A stakeholder webinar will be held Friday, June 7th at 11:30 AM ET, and will include a question and answer session on the Food Defense Plan by Julia Guenther, Policy Analyst, Food Defense and Emergency Coordination Staff, Office of Analytics and Outreach, FDA Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN).
Stakeholders should enter the webinar as a "guest" at the date and time of the webinar offering. There isn't a need to register in advance or to provide a password. This webinar will not be using a telephone call-in number. All sound will come through the computer speakers. For those who are interested but unable to join the webinar, please note that the webinar will be recorded and later posted on FDA's food defense webpage.
