FDA Names New Deputy Director of DFSR

FDA's Division of Federal-State Relations (DFSR) is excited and pleased to announce that Joseph Reardon, Director of the Food & Drug Protection Division of the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, has been selected for the position of Deputy Director in the Division of Federal-State Relations, Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA) at the U.S. Food & Drug Administration. For more then 28 years, Mr. Reardon has held various regulatory positions and in his current role, he is responsible for ensuring the safety of the State's food supply, drugs, and animal feeds. Mr. Reardon has developed and implemented innovative and efficient approaches to regulate the industry in North Carolina and has always worked collaboratively with the FDA. DFSR is delighted to have Mr. Reardon join us during this important time as we work in building a more integrated system among federal and state regulators to safeguard our food and medical products. We expect Mr. Reardon to come on board by September.
