Dan Smyly Retires from Coca-Cola

Published: August 30, 2012

Longtime CFP member and former member of the CFP Executive Board, Dan Smyly, has announced that he is retiring from his regulatory affairs position at the Coca-Cola Company effective March 31, 2013. Dan stepped into his role at Coke following the departure of Irving Bell, himself a long-time member of the Conference. Dan's sage advice on the CFP Executive Board over twelve years and his steadfast support of food safety and the Conference on behalf of Coca-Cola was admired by all. We wish him well in a well-deserved retirement.

The Coca-Cola Company is actively seeking to fill his position. A replacement is being sought to work with Dan a few months before he leaves.
